I'm going to miss her fun-filled chalk talks (assuming I renew...haven't yet decided).

lots of very different possibilities: players complained about her, she quit before she went down with the ship, kp scapegoat, etc.

Is it strange that Tara always (as far as I can remember) hired and invested in developing WOMEN coaches and that he was a former PG but he’s taking over for Katy Steding who was a power forward and I think coached the Bigs.

Chiney, Jeanette, and Erica played under Coach Key in the WNBA. Perhaps he’s going to lead the coaching of all the players in a more modern WNBA style that provides a buffer from Kate’s old school style. Katy provided that for the Bigs but probably did not have the power to overcome Kate. Now that Key has been brought in, Kate has to change or she’ll be out and perhaps Key steps in to replace

Key is a journeyman coach but he's an outsider and not connected with Stanford. If nothing else, that's refreshing. Perhaps Paye will be open to hearing a new voice on how to play offense in today's world.

Stanford's top incoming freshman Jordyn Wheeler was injured in the U18 AmeriCup last night. Had to be carried off the court. Looked like a potential ACL injury to me.

it is crazy to see the drop off in this program. Stanford sports as a whole has never been in such shambles. Men's teams have been irrelevant for a while now. NIL and a slew of other factors have not been kind. to LSJU.

My expectations are low no matter what approach is taken. I believe deviating from the status quo might be a good idea.

on the Stanford WBB Facebook page they have a post about her from about an hour ago, I'm not sure but she might be the player with what looks like a wrap (not a brace) on her right knee in the team photo of Canada getting their medal
