LOL, I think it is fitting that USC is trying to cash in on the Odyssey craze, not remembering that they were the “baddies” in history, and specifically on the losing side of the Trojan War.
My memory might be failing me, but I seem to recall the Odyssey starting 10 years
after the fall of Troy, and that the coalition of Greeks, including the Spartans, were on the winning side.

First Tusk, now this? It's a traveshamockery! Still, Tusk is a great album (Stevie Nicks in a sun dress and baton and I don't even see Sunglass Band in that video) and needs to join my Fleetwood Mac petroleum collection soon. It was a great day indeed when I found a NM copy of Kiln House (so underrated if you ask me). That and Then Play On are my favorites. Best Mac song is Albatross.
Anyone who sees the Odyssey in IMAX or otherwise, please share your thoughts. We plan to go when the newness dies off.

I saw it in an IMAX theatre last Saturday. It is a remarkable achievement, especially considering that nearly the entire movie was filmed without utilizing CGI. The encounters with, among others, the Cyclops, Giants (non-baseball), and, in particular, Circe were highly entertaining. In addition, the action that took place on the ships on the Mediterranean was visually exceptional. And, of course, the gift that keeps on giving, the Trojan Horse, was cleverly portrayed.
Note: There has been some criticism of the language. For example, Telemachus referring to his father as “Dad”. IMO, that is not enough to distract one from appreciating entirety of the movie.

Because as everyone knows, the Ancient Greeks famously spoke a very formal English, and would never have referred to their father as “dad”.

I think some critics felt they had to find something to offset their overwhelmingly positive reviews and ended up focusing on the language. And, of course, no one mentioned that the British actors in the cast spoke in an American accent.
A tempest in a teapot…

Saw it last night. Didn't much care for it. Maybe I was in a cranky mood.

I'm a visual effects artist.
I didn't work on The Odyssey but I can tell you that it contains a lot of CGI. Same with every other movie that claims they didn't use it.
For the past decade when a film is released it's been common for the studio PR machine to crank up claiming, "We shot this all practically!"
Then about 6 months later they'll quietly release their VFX reel showing that they did in fact use CGI.
