Emmett Mosley V (and other outgoing transfers) - fullmetal - 09-13-2026
During last night's improbably Texas win over Ohio State (down 3-20 to start the fourth quarter, won 24-23), former Stanford transfer Emmett Mosley V had five receptions for sixty-five yards, with three receptions and forty yards coming during the final go-ahead drive.
Losing that type of talent to the portal is the price of having a bad coach. Don't ask players to choose between Stanford and being silently miserable under a bad coach running a charade.
Made the mistake of looking at Bear Bachmeier's stats -- 16-26 for 217 yds and 3 TDs on top of six rushes for 37 yds and a TD for the win over Arizona. Alas.
Did Myles Jackson leave the team? I saw that he entered the portal, but I haven't seen any indication that he was picked up by another team, and he's not on the roster.

Yup. I watched the 2nd half. Mosley was fantastic, smooth and evasive, caught every throw. Very important in 4th qtr come back. His younger brother is at SC and also playing well. Also, I've forgotten where last year's frosh tackle who started several games (Ughri?) transferred.

Emeka Ugorji is a starting tackle at Florida.
I believe WR Ismael Cisse is starting at Arkansas.
Pretty sure Jimmy Wyrick starts at SMU, might be a nickelback.
Cole Tabb doesn't start but is a major contributor at Cincinnati.

Jack Leyrer is listed as 3rd string LG at Auburn
Che Ojarike is backup free safety at Duke (this week's opponent)
Zak Yamauchi is 3rd string RG at BYU
Tiger Bachmeier is backup slot receiver at BYU
Elijah Brown is backup QB at Washington
Jake Maikkula would be starting OL at Oklahoma except he is injured
Mudia Reuben is backup slot WR at South Florida
Jshawn Frausto-Ramos is backup strong safety at Washington State

It's been pretty consistent. Stanford has been able to attract a decent amount of talent. We just can't keep them around nor bring in new talent.
From what I've been seeing and reading, it feels like we are finally starting to reverse that trend but it's been brutal to watch games the last few years and see what could have been.
I think Andrew and Tavita see this which is why player retention was critical last offseason. Stanford can't cast a wide net in the transfer portal so we need to retain as much talent as possible.

With NIL and the ability to compete for a national championship, I don't blame any of them for leaving. Boosters will have to step up for Stanford in hopes of a Cignetti being found.

I think Andrew and Tavita's retention last offseason is way underrated. That never happens in college football these days when there is a coaching change.
Retention + contributing freshmen (but catch the ball!!) + sneaky good QB transfer + promising offensive scheme through two games...
Way too early to judge but some real signs of optimism early.

I honestly think that if Tr*y T*yl*r hadn't been trash, the outgoing transfers might have stayed. Yes, money helps, but a terrible environment is a powerful catalyst for departure. There were no adults in the room under the previous regime to provide accountability, it seems.

Agree. I think next 3 games are going to be especially indicative of how team going. As a fan outside the locker room, feels like need a win in at least one to keep some optimism up.
