Longhorn Network woes -

The wheels may be about to come off the Longhorn Network as it struggles to find distributors ...
Texas asking fans for patience with Longhorn Network
Quote:Major cable and satellite providers can look at regional or national networks such as the Big Ten Network, now called BTN, or the soon-to-launch Pac-12 Network and see more programming punch, Swanson said. Time Warner, Comcast, Cox and Bright House all have deals to carry the Pac-12 Network. Those carriers are in about 40 million homes, although the Pac-12 Network will only be on a sports tier outside the Pac-12 area.

Good thing for Texas they turned down the Pac-10 so they could own this moneymaker.

All smoke and mirrors, done just for the sheer joy of getting rid of the costume-wearing Aggies (and their hobbits), and helping to weaken the SEC brand.

Random large twins dressing up...band members....
Good try though. And yeah, they need to change those band uniforms.

So, you're saying it's OK to dress like an idiot as long as it's done in large numbers?

If something is a uniform of a team or band, sure.Â
The Aggie band gets a complete pass. So does the Stanford band.Â

Uh, CI, that's clearly Photoshopped. See, there's this company called Adobe, and they make programs that let you do things with images... :p

Damn, CI, why do you constantly post photographs of your herd?
Re: Longhorn Network woes -

Is this photoshopping of which you speak something only 'Horns fans can see? Are you saying this guy's actually an Aggie and his shirt, hat and Big Gulp were maliciously edited? I suppose the Justin Roper boots make that a possibility.

Ah, fullmetal ... you're in denial.
Take heart, though, you're not alone; it seems to be striking t-sip fans in epidemic proportions these past two years.

I guess there are all different types of denial....

It's amazing how silent oman has been regarding CI's question.
I'm not even close to being an Aggie fan. (We've had this discussion on here before), and I've soured on Texas following its shenanigans with the Big XII, but one thing I'm really not a fan of is folks coming onto the board with the seemingly singular purpose of taunting a longtime board member.

The fact that the photo is Photoshopped has very little to do with my opinions :p You *might* be able to find similarly embarrassing photos though...there are Walmarts all over Texas.

I routinely use Photoshop to modify photographs in my business. I have learned to spot over the years tell tale signs of photoshoping. I am not seeing indications of alteration in this photograph.

CI's question about photoshopping? How would I know an answer to that?
I realize you play the resident schoolmarm here, but Kathy comes on once in a while and throws out her aggy-isms. And when it happens and I defend the horns, since I attended UT and Stanford.Â
It's no big deal. I get grief for overzealous (and appropriate) defense of Stanford and the Pac12 on shaggybevo.
My goal wouldn't be to staunch the sourness you have for Texas But even if I could it would be an uphill battle, given the shenanigans of the team that actually stayed in the Big12.
Had someone who didn't have an anti-UT bias posted the original story, I probably wouldn't have injected the Texas
A&M Aggies (see what I did there, Kathy?), but it is the off season, so who knows.
Sorry guys. But my hair-trigger items are pretty obvious.

May I just point out that I never felt fullmetal was being serious about the photoshopping.
I do find the photo that I posted to be a more interesting, from a purely perpective standpoint.Â
I would also agree that you can find funny pictures of any fans. And if orange is funny and cowboy hats are funny you can find many UT funny pictures. And if uniformed men escorting a collie and men with crew cuts in denim overalls is funny, you may have more luck googling the Ags.
