Meeting Andrew Luck One Day Before Combine (Photo) - dac334 - 02-22-2012
Photo and story involving an encounter with Andrew Luck, as he was leaving the practice field in LA, one day prior to the NFL Combine. Luck is absolutely enormous in person and a really nice guy as it turns out.

When you get what might be considered fawning press for someone, I am often skeptical as to whether the person is genuinely as nice/saintly/etc. as advertised. In Andrew Luck's case, I believe he is based on my daughter's personal experience. My daughter went to Stanford and played on the club volleyball team. She had sprained her ankle and was on crutches. As she approached an academic building trying to juggling her backpack and crutches to open the building door, Andrew (who had been 15-20 feet behind her) saw her struggle and ran up to open the door for her and hold it while she entered. No cameras or reporters were around, no one took notice, but that's the kind of spontaneous act of kindness not done for recognition that makes me think he really is the genuine article.

In that vein, I found this video today. In high school, he was already the same Andrew we've come to know and love.
