So Colorado will have to be a 13 seed or worse, right?  Has a team from a major conference ever had a lower seed in the Tourney?

Believe that miracle Georgia team that won the SEC tournament a few years back (the one with a crazy tornado in Atlanta, IIRC) got a 13 seed.

Number of previous times that a regular-season winner from a major conference has missed the Tourney: 0
Where Washington, this year's regular-season winner, is heading: NIT

I really hope the conference improves next year.  Bad competition might be good for our record (theoretically), but it can't be good for recruiting or attempts to schedule good competition in the non-conference schedule.
