Way-y-y-y-y off topic... - CowboyIndian - 03-12-2012

But I thought some of you might enjoy this pic of my wife getting Elmore Leonard's autograph yesterday at the Tucson Festival of Books. He gave a great talk...paired with Brad Meltzer ("Inner Circle") and signed his new book, "Raylan" with the admonition, "Take it easy. Elmore Leonard"

Tangential to your OT: what's the best Leonard adaptation? Been wondering because of my affectation for "Justified"--though I still like "Jackie Brown" more.

Funny...he talked about that and 'Jackie Brown' was actually HIS favorite as well. He also mentioned that Richard Boone (Stanford guy) in "Hombre" and George Clooney in "Out of Sight" did the best job of fulfilling his vision of a character...specifically with dialogue.
I'm still a "Get Shorty" guy, although "Hombre" is right up there.

PS - does your affectation for "Justified" include packing heat and a hat?

Is "Pulp Fiction" based on a Leonard book?

I think that all came from the fertile and febrile brain of Q. Tarantino and a guy named Roger Avary.
