Nunes - AP Story - Farm93 - 08-27-2012

Nice story about the family deciding to focus on Stanford a long time ago.  I am sure some of it has changed to fit the reality of Nunes' at Stanford, but it is still nice to see.

The least believable part of the story?  The idea that a store in Upland had any Stanford gear in 2003.

Would look good with a neckbeard.

I enjoyed reading the parental perspective. That must be a joyous occasion (mixed with a bit of fear) when your son is announced as the starting QB for a D-1 football program. Especially with the weight of the Stanford track record in the position.

Nice Cardinal hat in that 2003 picture, though.

You can thank Josh's dad, Tim, for that :)  Tim gave that hat to Josh when he was eight.  This is a story with a long background that's just getting started...

I was freshman at Stanford in 2003 when that photo was taken, and I had that exact same hat. Feeling really old right now...

Anyway I really enjoyed the article...he sounds like a good kid, hope he's a good QB!
