No, not the Stanford Scout site. The play, where the QB fakes a handoff to one side and runs to the other, I believe Stanford is going to have to bust out one of those types of plays, something like Andrew Luck did at Washington in 2010 or that Alex Smith did against the Saints last year in the NFC Championship game to beat U.S.C.
This has to be a "kitchen sink" game for Stanford, where they don't just rely on methodical execution and long drives, they take calculated risks like running Nunes on designed plays, fake a punt or FG, do an onside kick. Those are the kinds of things Stanford needs to do to beat U.S.C. Absent any such plays I don't believe Stanford wins.

My guess is the kitchen sink thing isn't a play but rather a player--Kelsey Young is going to get some high-impact touches. So far he's gotten three touches for 14 yards, and been targeted once deep for a pass interference call. Not bad, but it definitely seems like they're keeping their high-performance vehicle under the cover a little bit.

Right there with you, WiM. As excited everyone was about Kelsey Young, it's been surprising to me that we haven't seen much of him yet. I think today's the day.
