How to ignore messages -

As Kathy said in an earlier post, "The Cardboard is not a nanny state." Nevertheless, it should be a pleasant experience. If you wish to ignore posts from certain users, you may choose to ignore those users. The process is not intuitive.
To do so, go to your
own profile using the
Profile menu item in the main menu above. Then select "
Buddies/Ignore list" undere the "
Modify profile" tab. Find "
Edit ignore list" and select it. Type in the name of the user you wish to ignore. Typing the first few letters will bring up a list of possible users, so you do not have to worry about perfect spelling. You may add and remove buddies and ignore list at any time. (Oddly, the "Buddies" list has not real function that I've been able to discover.)

Looks like one could use the buddy list to restrict who you receive personal messages from (if anyone's inundated with unwanted personal messages from strangers, I guess...). One of the options under who you receive personal messages from is something along the lines of "Buddies and administrators only".

The posters on these forums are so tame compared to what I see in forums elsewhere that I have a hard time seeing a need to ever ignore anyone. Plus I hate ignore as you can miss out on the flow of conversation.
