Baseball 3-2 Victory Evens the Series with Rice - BigEasyCard - 02-17-2013

The Cardinal overcame an early deficit to pull out an exciting 3-2 victory at Rice yesterday.

Every infielder caught at least one line drive, and two turned into double plays as the Cardinal made Rice pay for some aggressive base running.

Wondering if it was just coincidence that the Rice Athletic Department chose yesterday to observe the almost tenth anniversary of Rice's 2003 College World Series championship.  As I recall, they beat Stanford soundly in the last game as the Cardinal's trip through the loser's bracket exhausted the pitching staff.

In any event game 3 starts in 90 minutes.  Geaux Cardinal.

Rice throwing a no-hitter at us through 7 innings.

anyone know what has happened to Austin Wilson?  he was subbed out late in game 1 and hasn't played since then.

Heard from a reliable source after today's game that he has an undisclosed injury, hopefully not too serious.

Either these Rice pitchers are something special, or we're in for a season of growing pains.

Or it's just a three-game sample in a notoriously volatile sport?
