WBB: Ruef into Stanford MA program - 81alum - 02-20-2013

The Fast Break Club reports:

Quote:Mikaela is eligible to play next season as a red-shirt senior, and she has been accepted into her Master's program at Stanford. Whether or not she'll join the Cardinal on the court next season hasn't been announced. It's a convoluted decision, involving scholarships and NCAA limitations.

It is encouraging that she has applied and been accepted into a Stanford MA program.  She is a Materials Science and Engineering major--it would be interesting to know if she is planning an MS in MSE or something else.  She will be honored on Senior day and her parents, I'm told, will be coming out for it, so it sounds as if there is genuine uncertainty in their minds about next year.

All Srs are honored together with the group they entered Stanford with.  Doesn't mean anything about Ruef returning to play or not.  I strongly believe she will be back just not one of the 15 on scholie.  Post game recently Tara called it convoluted.

Of course McCall, Beebe and Johnson will be strongly vying for time next season.
