That game was so unwatchable. It's really pathetic that Notre Dame fans apparently want every televised game of theirs to be nonstop hagiography and pandering. I would be embarrassed, and it's incredible that they apparently have no sense of shame and such a ridiculous sense of entitlement.

Would you like a side order of hagiography and pandering with that, sir?

The problem with this particular deal is that the commentary is so obviously pro-ND. It's like local baseball radio covered, just rampant homerism. It means that we'll have a game with terrible, unlistenable commentary every other year.

[/quote]That is what radio is for--so you can turn the sound off on your TV set! Of course, you'll get the plays about 6 seconds earlier than the pictures.....
I wonder how Nielson deals with that?

The TuneIn Radio app on my phone has an adjustable time delay. Great for this kind of problem.

Absolutely. When the dessert is savoring the aftermath of victory.

Mike Mayock is a good analyst for the NFL but shills relentlessly for N.D. The most hilarious instance was the 2010 game where Shayne Skov ran through the line untouched to sack Dayne Crist, while Mayock made him out to be some sort of cheating barbarian affronting the good burghers of South Bend by offside -- while replays were confirming that Skov had timed the blitz perfectly.

I remember WIMs version of events. I think the broadcast partner came around but not Mayock.

Well, if I recall correctly, USC was 3-1 vs. ND while Haden was their QB, so yes...Haden
really was very good when he was doing them.

Redrum,
Funny enough for a +1, but I just can't promote anything positive for U$C. If you wonder why you got a +1 on some random post in the future, you will know why.

I don't recall him ever going back to correct the record.

Another view: I re-watched the 2010 ND game and I was wondering how Mayock kept his job after that one, he was so complimentary toward Stanford.
