THE one man in America who should be careful ... - Redrum - 07-23-2013

when using the word "pile"...Charlie Weis, who resembles a slag heap even when he's not sitting.

And when the phrase is "pile of crap"?  It's STILL Charlie Weis!  Whose record at Kansas couldn't be expressed more articulately than "pile of crap.'

EXCEPT,  Charlie the football genius used that phrase to describe his own players. In front of everyone at the Big 12 Media Days.  A master of motivation.

Some people just aren't leaders.

Did ol' W.alt insult his players in the media? Afraid Weis has one-upped him. I'm not sure Harris is sad -- he should be very used to losing by now.

Don't forget that Mike Leach did this last year, calling his players "zombies" or something similar.

Only a giant ass would sue his doctors for complications after he didn't follow their instructions.  I hope his lawyers were not working on contingency.

Well, he didn't exactly call them a pile of crap but he did say, "We're going to have to recruit our way out of this", which bore the same message to those players.

I was looking to answer CI's question regarding Harris — my recollection is that he did insult players in the media, but I'm not sure — I found this interesting article by none other than Glenn Dickey regarding Big Game. It seems that it's not all in our minds. The rivalry really has (had??) gotten worse on the other side of the Bay. So, 59er Insider may well be representative of the younger Kal fans.

I knew Dickey was a doofus - even before reading that he liked Wlat.

Yeah, but unlike a certain someone, he didn't predict that Harbaugh would be a failure.

Kind of spooky mention in that Harbaugh article - Redrum - 07-24-2013

Dickey wrote about Chris Hobbs introducing himself to Harbaugh.  Hobbs was one of the players Harbaugh later kicked off the team in an alleged drug use rules violation.
