Hogan projected as #2 overall pick in 2015 NFL Draft - iyengar06 - 07-23-2013

Nice to see our players being included in mock drafts like these, which are often little more than a lazily-researched who's-who of major (i.e. SEC) programs. Another youngster of ours projected in the top 5 overall, to boot...

And also projecting the Vikings to take Trent Murphy as a DE in the 2014 draft. Not bad for what seems to be a "mainstream" sports person who might not otherwise have heard of individual Stanford players...

To make an accurate mock draft, the producer needs to know:
1. The order that teams will be picking (i.e. which teams will do well and which will do poorly)
2. Which players will be available (injuries, leaving early, etc.)
3. Which positions teams will need (those that will be weak because the team has the current weakness and haven't shored it up, those that are weak because a player has retired, become injured, or gone to another team, and that team was unable to address it in this year's draft.)
4. Which players will do well the year of the draft.
It's some what reasonable to try to guess at number four based on current trajectory, but Nos 1-3 are pretty near impossible.

the guys that run that website are terrible at predicting drafts - they've projected guys to go in the first round that weren't drafted. They just don't follow college football very closely IMO. A few years ago I left a comment pointing out that Skov had never played DE/OLB and never would. That was something they could have figured out from Google.
And Hogan has a lot of work to do before he's in the running for the first pick in any draft.
