Injury situation -

This Chronicle report on the Tunnel Workers Union has a note about injuries at the end. It\'s kind of poorly edited, but seems to imply that Howell, Owusu and Gaffney all missed practice this week.

And to finish off the tour of the morning papers, a funny article about James McGillicuddy:

If there\'s any game to accommodate his desire to get him the dang ball, it\'s this one.

I wondered what Owusu\'s injury was toward the end of the sc game. Â He was bent over like it was ribs or something on his torso. Â But sometimes a player is bent over when he has an arm or shoulder injury. Â Still it looked more like a stomach or rib. Â We should have enough to take care of business against WSU, but I truly think we need the deep threat of Owusu to keep defenses honest for the rest of the season. Â Hopefully Whalen is back to form after the bye week.
cheers,

Given the opponent and the weather, I doubt we will see many of the questionable athletes. Â If they don\'t play today they likely will be closer to 100% next week.
Also, if they don\'t play their injury status will remain largely unknown. Â That seems to be JH\'s favorite status.
Other teams have played with backups at QB and walked away with an easy win against Wazzu, so I would hope Stanford could win without a few DBs and WRs. Â
