This is usually Redrum\'s beat, but I thought this post in a UCLA board was priceless. One UCLA poster attempts to argue Oregon going for two in the first quarter was poor sportsmanship.

Must be a SoCal thing to complain about such things.
I would be a touch more worried about the state of the program if I was in their situation.
Why is Chow, the Pac-10\'s OC legend, running the Pistol?
Why is UCLA, with several highly ranked recruiting classes on the roster, resorting to schemes and tricks?
Shouldn\'t the talent be able to at least run near the Stanford, C.a.l and Oregon athletes?
Why can\'t the team replicate that Texas game effort?
Why did Slick Rick look like he was about to cry during the game last night?
etc.

I hadn\'t noticed that that was Redrum\'s beat. I only noticed the recruiting thing. Thanks for pointing that out!
Going for two in the 1st quarter was unsportsmanlike? Buddy, out of 60 points, you\'re (he\'s) going to argue about how ONE of them was scored?

That statement made me distinctly uncomfortable...

I\'m sorry if I offended you. Â Just to clarify, I wasn\'t putting down WIM. I was confused about why a UCLA fan would complain about going for two at the beginning of a game in which 60 points were scored against his team.
I might have viewed it differently had it happened at the end of the game. UCLA fans have more important concerns than a single point in a game like that.

Oh.. no, no -- it was just that the notion of "Buddy" complaining about a minute aspect of a complete beat-down being mentioned on this board brought back ugly memories circa 2003.

The name Buddy is forever associated with bad football memories :(
