Anyone have a favorite highlight among today's signees? - OutsiderFan - 02-05-2014

Based on the highlights posted on gostanford.com, who had your favorite highlight play?  Or if you can't think of a favorite, any ones that you watched and thought "whoa, that was impressive!"  I mean like, "guys who can do that are difference makers!"

Well, since nobody has responded with a favorite highlight, here's mine...

It's Bobby Okereke.  The last highlight on his video.  The quickness and explosion he demonstrates on that last play is incredible.  When great athletic ability is combined with the ability to diagnose a play as a result of being very smart, the ingredients are there for a player to be special.

Favorite highlights:

1.  Harrison Phillips doing a cartwheel to block a punt.  I couldn't find a video.  I really don't understand how he's rated a 3*.

2. My 2nd favorite would be Mac the Knife juking All-Americans on that punt return in the Army Bowl.

3. Keller Chryst slinging a ball from Paly across El Camino to Stanford.

4. Dalton Schultz massacring scores of enemy soldiers whilst talking about cheesy recruiting practices.

OK, I'll play - Redrum - 02-06-2014

I sound like a broken record on this one, but I don't care.  I was very impressed by Jordan Perez when I saw this video:

The only non-lineman in a OL vs. DL "Oklahoma drill".  And Perez (little guy in the blue shorts) embarrasses several of the best linemen of yesterday's LOI recruiting finale.  The caution is that the Oklahoma drill is face-to-face from a dead stop.  Perez quickness got him a real advantage.  But, when he stood up Bama's #1 line recruit Ross Pierschbacher, one had to take notice.  The caution is in real football any OL coming at Perez in a conventional LB position might have at least two or three steps of acceleration before contact and that disparity in weight/force might make Perez look like just another LB in a mismatch.  But, physics aside,  Perez also seems fearless and tough, which counts for a lot of success in position that has serious contact on almost every play

Yes that video of Perez owning the 2 SEC lineman is awesome

Excluding Jordan Perez, my single favorite moments have to be Keller Chryst from his jr. or soph. year when he put his non-throwing hand on the defender and then would stiff-arm him while still standing in the pocket and looking downfield.  He did it at least twice.
