Sellout? - stanfan - 11-04-2010

Anybody hear how ticket sales are going for this weekend?   Will we have a sellout crowd for this national TV game?

Wilner wrote today: "Heck, it might even be a sellout, but don’t bet on it: Stanford’s expecting at least 40,000 and maybe more, depending on walk-up sales."

It sounds like he has a Stanford source who gave him an estimate of at least 40,000.

I just searched for ticket availability at gostanford.com, and there were tickets available at every price point.

I would consider 45k the saving-face minimum, but I\'d bet it will be reached (and wistful that I won\'t be a part of it).

Prices on StubHub have gone up significantly. A few days ago you could have got in the stadium for about $25 and had good seats for $60. Now those numbers are $40 and $90.

Or you could buy sunny side sideline seats for 45$ at gostanford?

Stubhub has seemed like a ripoff to me for every sporting event/concert I\'ve ever looked at, except for the LA Clippers. Stubhub for the clippers is perennially a good deal.

Well, you can\'t get 2 tickets together... so I\'d consider that category of tickets sold out.
