Class of 2016 -
Bruce Wang - 03-02-2014
Apparently this is the QB to watch out for in 2016. KJ Costello. Watched some of the video. Looks more impressive than Rosen. Balls thrown with anticipation and in tight windows. Arm looks very strong. Good runner too. And most importantly 4.2 GPA.

We have extended our first 2016 offer to TE Kaden Smith and am hearing that Stanford is his favorite.

If only he could be in the same backfield with this guy:

BTW, can I borrow your automatic wildlife camera? Got extensive colony of some sort of rodents under my gravel drive. Nocturnal. Need to know if the king snake I'm negotiating to purchase will be up to the job of getting them to consider an alternative site. If they're too damned big, they might spit a long skeleton back out as an FU and then collapse the whole parking area. The alternative to snakes is ferrets, but they might clear out the rodents, then settle in themselves.

Stanford offers Patterson Louisiana wide receiver Mykel Jones. Ranked four stars in Rivals 100 and ESPN 300.Â
Looks like he understands the 40-year decision:Â ""Their school is as big as it gets in education and they are successful on the field. There isn't another offer that can top them as far as education. It's the top of the top."
Education has been a focal point for Jones and his family from the onset of his development. The 3.8 GPA student has always stated that education was going to play a major factor in his recruitment."

It looks like we didn't update this thread with the Costello offer but looks like he has narrowed his choices down to Stanford, U$C, and Michigan. Given U$C just took two QBs in this recruiting cycle, Stanford has to look much more favorable. (

Other recent offers:
5-star LB Caleb Kelly who impressed at Stanford camp this summer (not sure if the link is behind a paywall)

4-star WR Devan Duvernay

Hard to see Costello not picking Stanford, but I guess stranger things have happened.

What? Like a star player claiming to have sprained his ankles jumping from the 2nd floor to save a nephew from drowning?

He does look good. I will point out that his HS has produced many distinguished athletes such as Voldemort Trophy winner Carson Palmer, Olympic gold medalist Amy Rodriguez, Outland Trophy recipient Kris Farris, and recipient of the Walter Payton Award and Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Brian Finneran.
Let's get this stud.

The background of Costello's twitter account (@kj_costello) is an image of Touchdown Jesus. Is that for ND? or for Rancho Santa Margarita?
FYI, Costello was at the Coliseum this past Saturday for the Toejams game vs. Fresno.Â

Try to keep up to date. Now its a third floor jump where "no criminality took place." If Mante Teo's girlfriend hadn't been an eyewitness I wouldn't know what to believe.

Shades of Tim Rossovich, the old (60's) U$C football player who used to set himself on fire and jump out of dorm windows just for kicks.
Other Rossovich antics:
1. Eating glass
2. Drinking motor oil
3. Going into the Trojan Barrel, a favorite U$C hangout, and barfing all over some poor soul's pizza.
4. In high school at St. Francis in Mountain View, coming back after practice and smashing into one of his teammate's locker so the guy couldn't open it to get his clothes and had to go home in his sweaty uniform.
Quite a colorful guy.

It's been taken down. Apparently Stanford 2016 offeree Caleb Kelly tweeted that a $outhernCal coach sent the exact same handwritten letter to a friend. The letter says $C doesn't send meaningless non personal mail.

TE target, Kaden Smith, will be on campus U$C game weekend taking an unofficial visit. Nice

Smith's visited Stanford quite a bit: went to camp this year, visited in the spring, and went to camp in 2013. This may be his first Stanford game, however.

This 2016 DT has offers from almost the entire SEC, and now he has the most valuable offer in college football.

Word is that if there is an offer, it is not for football.
