Re: Halftime: Stanford 21, Arizona 3 - fullmetal - 11-06-2010

Been watching the game with a nice crowd in Austin (about 20+)--that diving catch by Owusu was a clear highlight of the game, as well as the first Owusu touchdown.  It got kind of comical in the fourth quarter when the "tight end" would line up behind Luck, split right, and then the running back of the moment would go for 3-5 yards.  At that point, Stanford had to start running clock out--too many first downs and out-of-bounds plays kept this game going for a while.

Antolin, one of Arizona\'s backs, gashed the Stanford defense pretty well.  He\'s got speed and size.  Criner did some damage as well, though he was the target of a Stanford defensive highlight tackle that helicoptered his complete first down reception head over heels.  Howell had another big hit that separated a receiver from the ball.

Good things from both sides of the ball though.  Great statement victory over a closely-ranked team.  Glad to see Bama (sorry Redrum) and Oklahoma drop into the realm of two-loss teams.  Now we just need a lot of other teams to fall down in front of us.
