Why RichRod should stay....but if he doesn\'t Harbaugh is the assumed successor---

He may leave, but not for either of those jobs.

ESPN is announcing the RichRod will be cleared by the NCAA\'s investigation...that and Denard Robinson should help insulate JH from Michigan\'s overtures for the foreseeable future.
Is it just me... - Redrum - 11-03-2010
Or is making Michigan a Denard-centric offense a sort of deal with the devil for Rich Rod?  Certainly a  quick fix for putting the excitement back into UM\'s offense,  but it\'s based on one guy taking off and improvising.  I saw a couple of games that depended on Robinson having to pass.  Not a pretty sight.  So,  I wonder if Rich Rod will survive if Robinson goes down and all he has to fall back on is an  off-on/ disaffected Tate Forcier who is right now gaining darned little game experience.
And I only care about this because of this whole Harbaugh Restoration of Camelot thing they\'ve got simmering in Ann Arbor.

I\'m hoping that RichRod\'s success around one player leads to some mediocre recruiting classes that put Michigan in the bridesmaid\'s position of the Big Ten for all eternity. Â They should choke away a few gimme games and play the role of spoiler in all their big games so that the Big Ten fails to rise in national prominence. Â And JH shall never want to leave Stanford because Stanford will be winning games the right way, clear of NCAA violations and low academic expectations.

If Harbaugh goes to Minneapolis it will be to the soon-to-be-vacant Vikings job, not the Gophers.

Why not let Michigan win the Big 10 once in a while and Stanford to meet them in the Rose Bowl? Â Then Harbaugh would be an short-odds favorite to say something incendiary that would put the whole state up in arms against him FOREVER. Â While that would work, in my dreams he\'d go for two late in the 4th quarter while up by 50 and they\'d put a warrant out for his arrest in Ann Arbor. Â
As a Stanford fan it would be a double win.

That\'s a great idea, actually :p
I know a couple of insufferable Michigan fans, but they\'re way more tolerable than the Ohio State fans. Â Perhaps Michigan, Indiana, Minnesota, and Northwestern can trade off Big 10 titles. Â Penn State has enough history to sit on for the rest of college football\'s existence, as they\'re so fond of noting, so that\'s all they get.

I wouldn\'t mind Harbaugh at the San Francisco 49ers proudly showing off his first round draft pick, Mr. Andrew Luck.

Package deal, maybe :p  Frank Gore and Andrew Luck?  Yes please!
My Cowboy fan friends here are lamenting the possibility of selecting Luck in the upcoming draft.

many UM alum would choose the Mad Hatter, another UM alum, over Harbs. Â after all the Hatter didn\'t pee on his alma mater about lack of academics for the scholarship athletes.

well you better hope the package deal doesn\'t end up in Dallas...... :(

A distinct possibility, although like Pete Carroll, I think Harbaugh is better suited for the college ranks than the NFL because he\'s so personable. Â I might the be only one here who\'s okay with a JH/Luck package deal to the Cowboys though. Â And I know JH will start building the NFL version of the TWU in Dallas, cause goodness knows they don\'t have anything like it right now.
