Re: Howling from the desert - Pastor - 11-07-2010
The worst comment I saw was from an AZ grad who wrote that Stanford didn\'t win but AZ lost. Â If that\'s true, they didn\'t lose, they lost, lost, lost some 40+ times.
It was a dominating performance.

Another awesome moment of Stoops\' coaching: Antolin wasn\'t all that familiar with the blocking schemes. Â Remember when Nick Foles took a snap under center, stepped back, and realized there were two Stanford pass rushers in his face? Â A second before Foles hit the panic button, Antolin could be seen directly behind the Zona center, falling down and tripping up said center. Â Bam. Â Two pass blockers out of the equation. Â In come the Trees.
The game is a little more even with Grigsby in the game. Â I have a healthy respect for that runner, but them\'s the breaks. Â (Ankle sprain, in his case.)

I woiuld sure like another crack at Oregon....I think we could take them, especially if they played as they did against UW.

Re: Howling from the desert - Pastor - 11-07-2010
Does Harbs now have the proof he needs that he could win the NC at Stanford so all we need now to keep him is Arillaga\'s wallet?
Re: Howling from the desert -
george - 11-07-2010
Does Arillaga\'s wallet happen to contain 50K rabid fans who are willing to show up at Stanford stadium 30 minutes before kickoff and stand and shout for 4 hours?
Re: Howling from the desert - Pastor - 11-07-2010
Well, let\'s see....game tickets, hot dogs, cokes (etc.) and $100 per for the screaming....times 50,000...YES his wallet has that much

Stanford does not sell Coke.
Re: Howling from the desert -

Fun fact: for those of us from the south, almost everything is a \'coke.\' Â Actually, that\'s starting to fade, at least in Austin, where we\'re a little more cultured and the Dr. Pepper bottling plant used to be about 90 min up the road.

Aw crap. Â I blame my not-so-dormant instinct for punctuation and grammar. Â I may have to go off the grid now...(but not off the Cardboard)

blame Bowlsby. Â must be his roots as flattish swill is very popular in IA. Â I think the competition\'s get out the non-average fan track record for the new stadium was the difference.

" I think the competition\'s get out the non-average fan track record for the new stadium was the difference. "
Easy for
you to say.
