Now, if only he didn't have his alma mater at number 6

Sure would be interesting to know his criteria. If you're looking at Stanford as a team, simply stacking up against everyone else, without regard to trying to project records based on schedules, he's probably spot on.

If David Pollack (Haircut with microphone) had picked us Number 1....I'd still hate him for his previous remarks.

David Pollack wouldn't pick us even the day we win the NC game.

I don't think it's likely Michigan ends up in the top 6...even serious Michigan fans I know are not enthused about this next season. I wonder if all those people picking Ohio State are accounting for Braxton Miller's absence...I mean, the Big 10 is weak, but can tOSU still make it that far? If they still have a great record, what does that say about their SOS?

The thinking is Ohio State, based on recruiting under Meyer, has basically lapped the field in the B1G. Sort of like the PC USC teams, even with Miller out. Lots of Washington and ASU programs in that league right now, not many Stanford, Oregon, USC, UCLA, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, UGA, FSU, or OU level programs in that league. MSU is one, but Michigan doesn't seem on that level. Maybe PSU with Franklin surprises, but they aren't getting much pre-season love.

I think most of these polls were done before the injury was known.
