From the AP game report of that Riley game, this has to rank as one of the all-time "whoops!" quotes:

I remember a Cal fan on their message board creating images of banners that they could hang in their stadium. The best one was a blue and yellow banner that proudly proclaimed, "CAL FOOTBALL: #1 FOR 20 MINUTES."
