It's beginning to look like our biggest competition for the Pac-12 North will be C.al.  The Big Game is certainly going to be Big this year.

I'll believe it when I see it. They still have to play Utah, U-S-C, and UCLA before they come to us. We'll see what people are saying about them then.

Hank, you beat me to it.  Cal plays WSU next week in Berkeley.  Their following 4 games are @Utah, @UCLA, USC, @Oregon.  Why don't we take a look at Cal's prospects after that stretch.

They could be saying the same in Berkeley.  We've also got a date with UCLA before we match up with the Cubs, plus Arizona and Oregon.

I'm going to wait to see how they play against a couple more PAC 12 teams before I write the Ducks obituary.

Let's not forget that they went back to Michigan State and played the #2 team in the nation down to the wire.

Judging a team by one game is a mistake, as we presumably learned from Northwestern.

Big Game is always big, but I'm guessing that by that time Stanford will have already clinched the Pac-12 North.  I don't see any other team in the North finishing with better than a 5-4 record.

Oregon has major problems (obviously).  Their D is maybe the worst in the conference.  And they finally don't have a QB they can just plug in and not miss a beat.  You play tempo with a lousy D and an ordinary QB and you will give up a LOT of points and lose more than two games.

Michigan State is not the number two team in the country.  Some writers decided they were.

This is a hideous Oregon defense, and it has been since the first game; cream puffs race down the field against them.

Stanford has never played a game in the Harbaugh-Shaw years to approach the ugliness of Oregon's performance yesterday.  We thought our game against Utah was bad, and, in regulation, our defense held them the Utes to two scores.  Oregon yesterday held the Utes to [i]ten[1}.
