Well, Andrew luck is having himself a nice game. Of course, many a QB have had themselves a nice game against Buffalo.

I don't blame Andrew. I have worked in Scotland and know three things about them: The Scots have a gift for whiskey but were abysmal at stylish clothing and were "challenged" in the area of cuisine... (heck) food in general.
At least he had the good sense not to buy, or worse-- wear a souvenir kilt. I reckon the sins of Indianapolis Colts management and his OL's very offensive "protection" have made his legs look like a graphic med school study guide.

I think it depends on where you are - I was in Edinburgh and the highlands for two weeks last summer and we were shocked by how outstanding the food was at both "cheap" eats and high end places in Edinburgh (and even the $$$$ places were pretty affordable compared to NYC or SF), but it was far more hit and miss in Glasgow and the more rural parts. But we were attentive to where we ate based on recommendations, guidebooks, and hotel tips, and it was definitely the high season for produce, so who knows what the winter has on offer. But by the same token, I'd hesitate to have anyone judge American cuisine on the basis of what's on offer in Toledo or Duluth in February!
But yes- Scotch is hard to top as far as top shelf liquors go.

I'm probably the unusual American that really likes haggis. I think it's great. Give me a nice steaming bowl with some neeps and tatties any day. I remember I was in Glasgow, of all places, on Burns Night about 20 years ago, and could not find a place that would serve it, which speaks more to the cosmopolitanization of Glasgow than anything.
And ... agree on the whiskey. Toured a distillery when there, and have been hooked ever since.

Edinburgh...harrumph! The Palo Alto of Scottish cuisine.
Spend some time in Glasgow, the town with a "Catholic" football club (Celtic) and a "Protestant" football club (Rangers). Our commissioned study of the Glasgow storm and sanitary sewer systems required a hurry-up, six day per week schedule...which lasted until the very first Saturday when the fans rolled out of the pubs, taking over the streets on the way to the stadium after 4 hours of "prep." At least we got most of our gear back and only one of our crew needed medical attention (after someone dropped a cherry bomb into the open manhole in which he was working.) I think most of our traffic cones ended up as head wear or megaphones in the stadium. Our American crew, mostly Southern boys, survived mostly on cornflakes and eggs for breakfast, take-out Indian food for a lot of the time. God only knows what our Scots crew members ate.
(And, yes, I'm sure things have improved a lot since then. How could they not? I actually have a lot of affection for the place, but it was the only European city I've ever seen that still had sizeable parts of the central city open, free of structures decades after the Luftwaffe did its thing on the Clydebank. I'd go back for a nostalgia tour)
