I suspect some fans (but not the team) think that since we won it last year and have everyone back, it's a foregone conclusion we're gonna do it again. It ain't, and our results bear that out. [sorry about the inadvertent Cal reference]

Emily is at 4-6 6-4 and 1-1 in the third set. Seems pretty even so far :)
Meanwhile, 4 of our other players are playing today in championship matches of the main or consolation brackets in singles and doubles at San Diego State Invitational.

edit: and Emily wins the third set 6-2! Congrats to her! We did not come away empty-handed.
