We are only up 9-5 in the bottom of the fifth, with a man on third, and Grech in. That lead does not seem safe. Whoever said “first to double digits may underestimate what it will take to win”.

Beck coming in to pitch three days after throwing 101 pitches. I hate to see this. Give the ball to someone like Rudd who has seen some action and done well. You’re just asking for the kid to need Tommy John surgery.

And I thought a run an inning was an incredibly high pace in making that statement.

Fresno starting to time up Beck with two loud, long outs back to back to straight center. Both on pitch count
and timing up his pitches, he might be approaching a pitch limit.
However, Card still take a 2 run lead to T8.
After Robinson had some words with the FSU catcher as he was running to first on his 2nd 2 RBI double,
he gets drilled in the elbow, first pitch next at bat. Hmm... That looks pretty intentional to me.

Congrats to the team on their comeback in this regional and tonight. It wasn't pretty,
but we advance out of our regional, which is way better than the last two years.

- At least 15 FSU pitches hit the ground before home plate. Their catcher did a great job of keeping most of them in front of him
- Play of the game for me was the double play in the seventh - strikeout and caught stealing.
- 5 ladies from the WBB team were there supporting the baseball team (Hull x 2, Carrington, Fingall, and Wilson)
Great win! Wish I had been able to attend tonight's game. Also guessed right/got lucky that Beck would go 3 innings and Little 1.

I worry about Beck’s long-term health in a situation like that but if he was going to pitch at least we got the win. Time to beat some more bulldogs!
