I don't know if this information has been posted yet, but Stanford now lists the frosh on the roster including their jersey numbers.

When I was a student in the early 80s the high-expectation numbers were 7 and 31.

If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, Cal '70, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)

Nelson was 31.

As kids in the City the numbers were 6 for Bill Russel, 14 for Y.A. and 40 for Charlie O’Connell.

Apparently 7 isn't going to happen again. Somewhat strange that the last player at Stanford to wear that number was Aziz Shittu.
Not sure who was last to wear numbers 16 and 1.

I note nobody has worn #12 since 2011.
Wonder if anybody will again.

I just noticed several jersey changes on defense.

Curtis Robinson has changed from 21 to 2.

Kendall Williamson changed from 29 to 21.

Noah Williams changed from 19 to 9.

Dalyn Wade-Perry changed from 24 to 50.

DWP wore #50 as a freshman. Interesting.

A couple more on defense:
JJ Parson 26 --> 4
Donjae Logan 28 --> 5
Ethan Bonner 31 --> 13

And a couple on offense:
Isaiah Brandt-Sims, who is somehow still on the team 21 --> 6
Cameron Buzzell 83 --> 14
Trevor Speights 23 --> 21
