Aside from Kelly, only 2 other CBs on the roster played last season - Manley with 2 total tackles, Butler with 1. It seems like every year is a rebuilding year nowadays.

Plus I thought Covid didn’t bother him ?
Probably didn't want to go through the Covid protocols/testing since he thinks it's all unnecessary.

Fair enough, but he’d be going through all of those testing and prevention protocols in the NFL now, too.
As smart people, Adebo and Little (like Luck and Love before them) valued the Stanford degree. While they never would have chosen it, COVID gave them a chance to earn the degree without having to play and risk injury in their final season.
Good luck to him. I can’t say I agree with him on the election, masks or vaccines. Some of his views border on flat-eartherism. But he’s always struck me as a very nice dude at heart.

Why was it unexpected? I was surprised by this one. I mean, if the season was not until next year, I could see a conflict, but if it starts in a month, why not show NFL scouts what he can do? If he had concerns about Covid, absolutely, I respect any student athlete opting out of the season for their safety. But if Adebo isnt concerned about Covid and believes the economy should re-open, why would he opt out now?

Just speculating... Perhaps he got feedback that he's considered a 1st or 2nd rounder and thinks there's no upside in playing the shortened season, but plenty of risk in doing so (getting Covid, injury, playing poorly and dropping in the draft).
