I was thinking... Going to the Olympics "as a tourist" because I don't think she's up there with the more experienced pros yet.
Didn't know that 3x3 was an Olympic sport. Good for her. Hope she brings back a medal.
Is Kerri Walsh retired? Always enjoyed watching her compete.

Brink was the MVP at last summer's 3x3 World Cup, so she's going as more than just a tourist.

Of course, she's great at 3x3 (she proved her prowess with Haley Van Lith among others last year). I mentioned that I didn't know that 3x3 was an Olympic sport, thus, my surprise that she was on the Olympic "regular" team.
I have cardinal colored glasses most of the time, but I also realize there's currently better, more experienced options to represent the USA in the Olympic "regular" basketball team (Cam may be on the regular team in 2028).

Hannah Jump is also competing to make the Great Britain 3x3 roster. She has been training the UK for a couple weeks now.

Sorry. It works for me and that’s all I can test. It’s an FB reel which I think is from the Los Angeles Sparks FB page. Maybe someone more tech or FB savvy can produce a better link.

The link works for me if I open it in a new tab but not if I just click on it. In the latter case Facebook tells me the page is not found. Weird.

Brink just went down with an injury in the first couple minutes of the game today and had to be carried off the court. Doesn't look good. Possibly an acl injury since it happened when she planted her foot. Just a guess

Yep, doesn't look good, but she does have a few weeks to recover before Paris. TV said that Jenn Rizzotti (sp?), coach of the 3 x 3 team, was in the stands and went off to the locker room with bags of ice. In the meantime, has been announced that Cam will not be returning to the game.

Terrible news for Brink:

I hope she's back and even more improved next year and gets a shot in the 2028 Olympics

Torn ACL
Link showing the play from 2 angles.

On the replay it looked to me like she did get a little shove from the defender but it's impossible to tell how much that contributed.

What a bummer for Cam! A bummer for her Olympic teammates, as well. Hope she recovers completely.
She does look like she gets "bumped" by the Sun's defender before her knee buckles. Glad it wasn't flagrant. . . .
Free Phogge!!!! And no, crimson doesn't refer to the Tide.
