Looks like fall camp has ended. One unfortunately serious injury (Fanaika), but overall it seems the team is very healthy. That's always good news.
Here are a few of my unanswered questions about camp, if anybody has any thoughts:
1.) Burns. No surprise that he's behind Crower, but was there improvement compared to the spring? For the last two years, Stanford has had packages in place for the back-up to take meaningful snaps. Presumably that's not the case this year, but, if so, I suspect Burns would be the guy doing this.
2.) Secondary scheme. With new/reshuffled defensive coaches and overall a really experienced secondary, will we perhaps see an emphasis on a more ball-hawking style of play?
3.) Right side of the line. We've all heard about how dominant Henry Anderson has been, and I generally accept that narrative, but I also have some questions about the right side of the line. Kyle Murphy is very talented and looked good in the spring game, but can he actually be a dominant offensive lineman? Not sure. Caspers, of course, is a much bigger question mark. For the run game to approach what we (and the coaching staff) have grown accustomed to, these guys have to step up.
