Is there a special teams depth chart beyond the snappers, kickers and returners? I was watching a replay of Stanford-U$€ from 2011 and was surprised to see Ty Montgomery making a tackle on punt coverage as a true freshman. Perhaps other true freshmen will "find their way on the field" in that capacity?

I think Shaw has been on record saying that he doesn't want to burn redshirts for kids who will see action only on special teams because that's not enough of a role to justify the loss of a redshirt year.  So, as of now, the list of true freshmen we are likely to see on special teams coverage units is likely limited to Edwards, Reid, and Meeks.  If other true freshmen get on the field with the offense or defense, then they also would also be in consideration for the special teams units of course.
