These always interest me.

A number that leaps out is third and outs.  We suffer them only about one in 16 possessions, against one time in three for our opponents.  It's so of exceedingly large proportions it begs for explanation.

That occurred to me too. I was floored by it. It's especially surprising given that our defense ypp isn't all that great. But getting 3-and-outs while not doing them is a great way to win field position (which we do) and that's pretty helpful for winning games. I wonder what's driving it.
