You need a timeout for the field goal, and a timeout to throw to the middle--that's two.

Uh, what? Both of these are wrong. If you only have 30 seconds left, sure, you need TOs for those, but if you have a minute and a half you sure don't.

EDIT: To be clear, I don't necessarily think that Shaw was wrong with the TO use. It certainly worked out fine, though I think if ND had failed to score right away we might've been in trouble. But I don't think he was so obviously correct that it's insane to question him.
