the announcers, and their remote rules consultant, said that if the touchdown call was reversed and ND accepted the offsides penalty, the clock would have restarted on the referee's signal. Is that not correct? (the advantage of accepting the penalty then would have been to get an extra down, which does not seem helpful in that situation unless ND was willing to pass on a couple of downs which seems unlikely)
