If Shaw is making only $2.2 mil.  then he is pretty grossly underpaid, given his record of success, and the compensation of other top coaches.  Add in the fact that he is probably the absolutely perfect fit for Stanford (as Ferrari noted on another thread), and he is should command more than that.
