And lose it he will.  Not because he'll deserve to lose it, mind you, but because some SEC team (it honestly doesn't matter which) will have a good running back, or one of the playoff teams will have had a QB that had a great year.  Or something else will happen.

Basically, I've come to the conclusion that in order for a Stanford player to win, it can't even be remotely close.  So, if Christian wants to win, I think he needs to run for twice as many yards as the next-best RB in college football.  And add 1,000 receiving yards, too.  And, like, 15 kickoff return TDs.  Plus 10 more TDs on halfback passes.  If the historic year he had this year doesn't move the needle versus a good Southern running back, then I give up. 

I'm interested to see how many Southern voters even have McCaffrey on the ballot.  My guess is not many.
