Speaking as a somewhat older Stanford fan, I'd have to say that getting into the National Championship Playoff is my preference. However, it is due almost entirely to the newness of our realistic prospects for such and the intrigue of uncharted territory.Â
Plus, the first two years that I was at Stanford we went to and won (as dramatic underdogs) two Rose Bowls. Truth be told, I was a little miffed each of the next 28 years until we went again. Now that we're starting to get a little closer to my expectations of going every year, I'm almost ready for a new challenge.
