The stiff-arm trophy, being the most prestigious award, gets the most attention. But let's not forget that awards voters have been derelict or ignorant in their awarding duties throughout the Harbaugh/Shaw era:

1) DeCastro should've beaten Barrett Jones for the Outland in 2011
2) Zach Ertz should've beaten Tyler Eifert for the Mackey in 2012
3) Not a single Stanford defender has won conference POY, ever; which seems rather incredible given the great defenses of 2010, 2012-14.

And I'm sure we could find other injustices if we really pondered it. Really, though, all awards are dumb and recognize the wrong people, as Nobel Prize winners Jorge Luis Borges and John Galsworthy can tell you. (Oscar mis-award ______ can corroborate.) So I'm not sure Stanford can really claim to be especially afflicted.

Anyway, go to hell TV networks and Alabama running backs.
