Those ticket prices for the playoff semifinals hint at one of the problems with a playoff system: the issue of whether fans will travel to attend multiple rounds of playoff games. Based on those ticket prices, I'm guessing that many fans of the final four schools might have traveled for a single bowl game, but won't travel for both a semifinal and a final game. I suspect that many of them are skipping the semifinal, saving their money and vacation days, and planning to attend the final game if their team qualifies.

That's a big reason why I prefer only the title game being neutral-site, but given that everything in CFB is driven by the almighty dollar, that was never going to happen.
