"Iowa's had a lot of great people come out of it."

(Entertainment) John Wayne, Buffalo Bill Cody, Johnny Carson, Donna Reed (my Dana Delaney, Garvin), Elijah Wood, Ashton Kutcher, Ringling brothers, Harry Langdon, Ron Livingston; (music) Glenn Miller, Andy Williams; (sports) Bob Feller, 49ers' Roger Craig, Steve Bartkowski (boooo!), Kurt Warner, wrestling HOFer Dan Gable; (commerce) Halston, Russell Stover candy; TV journalist Harry Reasoner, author Sara Paretsky, and Ann Landers; 31st president Herbert Hoover and former California governor Frank Merriam; (science) James Van Allen, Robert Noyce; labor leader John Lewis; WWII's Sullivan brothers; and last but not least, Star Trek's James T. Kirk and numerous notable Indian chiefs.

Not too flashy, but all solid people. Like the football team we'll face in the RB.

Not to mention Fred Deming.  After WWII he is credited w/ organizing the modern manufacturing process in Japan that lead to the post-war miracle growth of that nation.  And Ann Landers twin, the eponymous "Ask Abby".  My mother grew up with them.  They were known as Eppie and PoPo.
