Fernandez remained on the floor until EMT personnel from Tempe Fire Department arrived. She was put on a stretcher and taken to a hospital after players from both teams gathered around her in support.
Fernandez was expected to stay overnight at the hospital as a precaution and make a full recovery, according to a Washington State official.
WSU's had another freshman with a knee injury and had to be carried off the court. What a horrible day for them. Her is hoping that they both make speedy recoveries.
