I was there for the 1990 BG, and was ecstatically happy.But when I watched on tape a week later, I almost had a heart attack watching the last couple of minutes. This despite the fact that I knew exactly what was going to happen...

I was there, too, and it's among my favorite Stanford football memories. When we went for two after the McCaffrey TD, I stood up, looked heavenward and, speaking to a god I really didn't believe in, told her, "You owe us one." When the pass failed, I slumped back to the bleacher seat, despondent. The lord works in mysterious ways.
