This is interesting...
4-star WR Michael Wilson, with offers from the rest of the Pac-12, ND, and Yale, doesn't have a Stanford offer after attending Junior Day. Can anyone remember when Stanford wouldn't offer a kid like this, a 4-star WR with that offer list?
The Rivals story reporting this states Stanford only has offers out to three WRs, 5-star Jalen Hall, 5-star Amon-Ra St. Brown, and 4-star Alontae Taylor (#9 ATH on Rivals who is also now a Tennessee commit), and is going to be more focused on defense for the 2018 class.
This may be reading too much into the situation, but these data points suggest Stanford feels very confident about landing one of Hall or St. Brown, and possibly both. Why else would they not offer Michael Wilson at this point, and risk him committing to a rival? I mean we all know Stanford's pool of elite WRs who can be admitted is frighteningly small.
Now maybe they don't want to offer Wilson before he takes the SAT/ACT, but have Hall and St. Brown, who both have offers, taken those tests?Â
