If there's ever a time to devote some extra hours of staff time to a program, this would be it IMO. Maybe Muir was never asked, because of the expectation of self-sufficiency.
I did read the whole story, Bob, and I still feel that, this week, the time of an associate head coach and an assistant coach would be better spent preparing (on short notice) detailed scouting reports on three opponents and practice plans and video for the players, than taking caring of logistics that non-coaches are perfectly capable of doing. I also think it is Muir's job to marshall extra resources of the athletic department to help a program at the most critical stage of its season. But I appear to be the only person on the planet to think so! So objectively I have to admit my opinion is probably completely wrong (not the first time and won't be the last). But it's still my opinion!
