More than 20 years down the road, when describing my academic experiences/achievements as an undergrad at Stanford - the first thing out of my mouth is that I learned to think during my time there.
Perhaps my critical thinking skills were already superior compared to my high school peers but I can definitely say it improved considerably during my time on the Farm.
Perhaps my critical thinking ability would have developed the same or differently at another University.
Who knows :) I definitely don't want to imagine myself at another school.
