I wasn't aware of the 1981 vote, thanks for citing (I was referring to the original one). But now I'm confused: is the Cardinal the official "mascot" of the university? What happened after this advisory vote? How can you have an intangible? Could "truth" or "intellectual brutality" be our mascot?
