Seriously, as a State taxpayer that may at some point have kids in the UC system, and as a Stanford football fan, I move that UCLA be forced to ride out the contract rather than pay Mora 80% of his remaining comp, pay severance to Mora's assistants, pay a search firm, and pay the new coach.

Lots of UCLA fans seem to expect that your idea of forcing them to ride it out is exactly what is going to happen. I have no idea myself, but it seems that unless you have a real good candidate already committed to take the job, it is probable that no change will be made because the cost-benefit ratio would not be clear.
